There was a time that I felt

Someone I held so dear

I felt love flowing through my veins

The pain that I bear

Sore eyes and imaginary smiles

Saddens through the mist of lies

Bliss of deception and anger

Moved everything away a thousand miles

Life I felt mine

Love that I sought near

Was never that I could get

It was not happiness
